About Us
Our mission is simple: work together as a community to beautify the place we are proud to call home.
Summit Eco Warriors
Summit Eco Warriors is led by Lauren Hess Lamaster and Cory Lamaster. When we moved to Lee's Summit in 2018, it was a beautiful place, one with no issue of litter on our highways. The same can no longer be said. Towards the end of 2021 we began to notice a large amount of trash on our highways. After talking with cities, municipalities, and MODOT, we realized that the change had to come from us. We started organizing small clean-up events, and a little over a year later, we are still fighting to get more attention for the trash problem we have in our beautiful city.
What We Have Achieved
We have had eight cleanup events since April 2022.
In 2023 we have removed litter and debris on seven miles of Lee’s Summit highways along 470 and 50 highways. Over 280 volunteers have participated in our two events, in which we have cleared over 3K pounds of litter.
We are in contact with the City of Lee’s Summit, Kansas City, and MODOT to increase the trash cleanups and create a long-term solution for this problem.
